Tocllaraju & Ishinca Climbs — 4 to 6 Days
Climb the 6034m Tocllaraju — perhaps your first 6000m peak — with the option to warm up first on the beginner-suitable Ishinca (5530m) for extra acclimatisation and strength.
Tocllaraju has steep, technical sections and requires good basic climbing skills; Ishinca offers long, enjoyable slopes of good snow as ideal preparation.

We recommend climbing Ishinca first for acclimatisation and fitness before the steeper, more technical Tocllaraju, which is not suitable for climbers without good basic skills. The 6-day programme includes a recommended rest day; you can omit it for 5 days, or climb Tocllaraju only in 4.
