Road Travel:

Most of the day hikes & tours require road travel to the start of the hike & return back to Huaraz. Roads are generally dirt roads (not paved) and for many of the hikes or tours they are high mountain roads and can be bumpy. Times taken for road travel are longer than you might expect for the distance covered.
