About this day
A line of open hill ridges above Huaraz, with the city, the long Callejón de Huaylas valley and the snow chain of the Cordillera Blanca all laid out below. A short drive reaches the trailhead; from there it is a steady but not steep two-hour climb to the crest. We then wander the undulating ridge to a high point at 3750m before dropping back down to town.
