Quebrada Quillqueyhuanca Trekking

Hiking Quillqueyhuanca Valley
Timing: 3 or 4 days

With options for 3 or 4 days easy to harder treks
A great short trek into a beautiful valley away from some of the other busy trekking trails. Ideal for families with children or for those looking for an easier hike or camping trip while still experiencing magnificent mountain scenery and also great for acclimatisation for a Cordillera Blanca climbing trip. Features visits to glacial fed high mountain lakes.
Easy Option:
Day 1: A relaxing hike up the valley Quebrada Quillqueyhuanca to camp at Olivos 4250m. 4 hours. In the afternoon we can hike into the valley Quebrada Cayesh where we have close views of mountains and glaciers.
Day 2: A hike up to the lake Laguna Tullpacocha 4350m where we often see ice from the glacier floating in the lake. Return to camp at Olivos.

Day 3: An easy walk down the valley, and return to Huaraz.
We have a pony trek option for this trek
*Options: Make a more demanding 3 day trek or a moderate to hard 4 day trek by including hiking up to Laguna Churup 4485m or to hike up to a high pass crossing into the Cojup Valley at around 4800m
